Something fun and tasty to do next weekend in Cleveland!

So guess what? You've been invited to something pretty fun and guess what else? It involves food. Know what else? It's free! I know... you think I'm lying to you. Yep, I'm lying here on the couch, bored on a Thursday night, and figured I'd get on here and just mess with all of you. Gotcha! Haha.... no seriously, all of it's true! More after the jump...





Next weekend, Saturday, August 13th, and Sunday, August 14th, come out to Legacy Village located at 25001 Cedar Road Cleveland, OH for the Cadillac Culinary Challenge Test Drive event.

This event is a chance for Cadillac to present the Escalade Hybrid, Cadillac SRX, CTS Sedan and Coupe, while allowing you to compare them to their competitors, the Mercedes E350 Sedan and Coupe, Lexus RX 350 and BMW X5.  You'll get to test drive these vehicles, as well as sample some delicious food prepared in front of your eyes by celebrity chef Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto NYC) and Cleveland's own local chef Marlin Kaplan (Dragonfly Lounge).

In Iron Chef fashion, the two chefs will be presented with a secret ingredient and during three different culinary presentations on each day, they will prepare dishes using that ingredient. Mark and I have been asked to help judge one of the presentations (4pm Saturday), but everyone in the audience in each presentation will also have an opportunity to taste the food! How fun does that sound?

Taken directly from their website, here's how the event will be structured:

"The event is very open and free-flowing, but there are certain elements of the event you will need to complete upon arrival. Please proceed to the Registration tent/area when you arrive where you will complete all the necessary onsite paperwork prior to participating. Be sure to bring your valid driver’s license with you. From there, you will be given priority to drive the Cadillac vehicles and then have the opportunity to drive alternate vehicles of your choice, visit all of the displays and participate in the culinary challenge."

The Culinary Challenge portions of the event will occur at 11:30am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm on both Saturday, August 13th, and Sunday, August 14th. If you're interested in attending one of these presentations and tasting some fabulous food, register at the time of your choice here.  You must be 21 years of age to test drive the vehicles and you must present a valid driver's license.

And yes, this IS a free event. The Cadillac Culinary Challenge Test Drive is a complimentary experience provided by Cadillac, designed for you to experience the Escalade Hybrid, Cadillac SRX, CTS Sedan & Coupe, as well as competitive vehicles.
